I have been a teacher at Cleves Cross Primary School for five years and have been fortunate to work with a team of fantastic teachers and children who work hard and are always striving to be the best they can be. I became a Governor in 2016 and was keen to join the strong team of governors who lead the school . At present, I am currently working in Year 6 with Mrs Brentnall, our Deputy Head Teacher and am also English Co-ordinator. Alongside Mrs Hilton, I have the responsibility for maintaining our achievements with Eco Schools and strive to keep the school, pupils and staff up to date with environmental issues nationally and globally.
I moved to Durham after completing my degree in Archaeology at Newcastle University. I have been a teacher for twelve years and feel very privileged to have a job that I enjoy where I am also working with some wonderful children.
